Setup instructions

The basic features include web, mail, ftp and webmail.

Web

Your web site is accessible at www.yourdomain.ext. To upload your web site use an FTP program with the following settings:

Setting Enter
Web server: http://www.yourdomain.ext
FTP server: ftp://ftp.yourdomain.ext
Path: public-html for html files, cgi-bin for scripts
user name: yourdomainext (no dots)
Password: as arranged

so if your domain is smith.co.uk:

Setting Enter
Web server: http://www.smith.co.uk
FTP server: ftp://ftp.smith.co.uk
Path: public-html for html files, cgi-bin for scripts
user name: smithcouk (no dots)
Password: as arranged

Additional web features

Mail

To access your email accounts create an account in your email program with the following settings:

Setting Enter Comments
Incoming server type: POP3 IMAP is optional
Incoming server: mail.yourdomain.ext  
Outgoing server (SMTP): mail.yourdomain.ext with SMTP authentication ON or it won't work
User id/account: youraccount@yourdomain.ext must include full email address, not just your name
Password: as arranged To change your email password log into your webmail, select Settings and then Password
Webmail: http://mail.yourdomain.ext  
mail admin (if enabled) http://mail.yourdomain.ext:8010  
Example:

if your account is called jack and your domain is smith.co.uk your settings would be:
